• How do I register on the site?
  
  You may register with PropertyinBirmingham.org using the "Register" facility that appears at the top right hand corner of each page.
  You just have to fill a quick form and click the Submit button. This will enabled you to make unlimited submissions of properties, post up to 12 photos for each property, show the properties on Google maps, any time updates, view real-time statistics, receive enquires from possible buyers any time, and much more!
  


• How do I submit my property?
  
  This facility is only available for private owners and agencies. In order to submit a property, follow the steps below:

  1. Sign into your account.
  2. Click on the Add a new property option on "My account" panel.
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Fill the form with details of your property.
     
     
     
  
  
  4. Click on the Submit now button.

  
  Once you have submitted a property, you are able to upload photos, upload floorplan, upload video and set a marker of the property on Google maps.
  


• My property details are wrong how can I change them?
  
  In order to modify details of a property, add or delete photos, etc, follow the steps bellow:
  

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the Full list option on "My account" panel.
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Select the property that you want to modify and click on the Edit button.
     
     
     
  
  
  4. Change the details you want.
  5. Save the changes clicking on the button Edit now.

  
  


• How can I delete my property?
  
  In order to delete a property, follow the steps bellow:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the Full list option on "My account" panel.
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Select the property that you want to delete and click on the Delete button.
     
     
     
  
  
  4. In the confirmation screen, if you are sure to delete click on the YES, delete now option, otherwise click on the NO, Go back option.
     
     
     
  
  

  
  


• I want to add other photos to my property how do I upload more photos?
  
  It is so simple to upload photos, just try to upload the best shots!

  1. Sign into your account.
  2. Click on the Full list option on "My account" panel.
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Select the property for which you want to upload photos and click on the Edit button.
     
     
     
  
  
  4. Go to the Property Photos section and you will see an icon with the label “No photo available”, click over the link.
     
         
     
  
  
  5. Enter the file location clicking on the button Browse, and the photo’s description.
     
     
     
  
  
  6. Click on the Upload Photo button.

  
  Once uploaded, you can set the photo as main using the “Set main” option.
  P.S. Only JPG/GIF files are allowed.
  


• It is possible to upload the floorplan?
  
  Yes, it is possible. Follow the steps bellow:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the Full list option on “My account” panel.
     
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Select the property for which you want to upload photos and click on the Edit button.
     
     
  
  
  4. Go to the Property Floorplan section and you will see an icon with the label “No photo available”, click over the link.
     
     
     
  
  
  5. In the window Floorplan upload, enter the file location clicking on the button Browse.
     
     
     
  
  
  6. Click on the button Upload File.

  
  


• How do I upload a video of my property?
  
  People would like to see a video with details of your property, and you are able to upload one.

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the Full list option on “My account” panel.
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Select the property for which you want to upload photos and click on the Edit button.
     
     
     
  
  
  4. Go to the Property Video section and you will see a box where you must copy the code of your video (usually know as “embed”)
     
     
     
  
  For example, videos from youtube have this code:
  
  
  
  
  5. Click on the button Update to see your video.

  
  You can upload videos from youtube, myspace, etc.
  


• How can I set a marker of my property on Google maps?
  
  Follow the steps bellow to set a marker property on Google maps:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the Full list option on “My account” panel.
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Select the property for which you want to set a marker and click on the Edit button.
     
     
     
  
  
  4. Go to the Property on Google maps section and click on the link to open the Map window.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  5. Click on “Set marker” or click on the checkbox (note that the checkbox must be checked)
  6. Search the location for the property on Google maps, once you are there, click on the map. Note that the icon must be on the location of the property.
  7. Click on “Save marker” to save the marker of the property on the map.
  8. The marker of your property must be on the map showing its details.
     
     
     

  
  


• When has a property been expired?
  
  Properties could expire 1,2,3 or 6 months after their submission, this date is editable. If you want to see the list of expired properties, follow the steps bellow:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the List expired properties option on “My account” panel.
     
     
     
  
  


• Can I manage the leads of my properties?
  
  Yes, you can. Any person who has a question or require more details of your properties will send you a lead to your account. If you want to see the list of leads, follow the steps bellow:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the Pending Leads option on “My account” panel.
     
     
     
     
  
  

  To answer leads, you just have to select the lead which you are interested on answer, press the button Reply and fill a quick form with your message.
  
  
  
  
  


• I am interested to see which of my properties is the most popular, it is possible?
  
  PropertyinBirmingham.org brings you updated statistics about your properties, its visits, leads, ratio of leads according to number of visits, its submission date, the expiration date, number of days online, etc. In order to see these stats, follow the steps bellow:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the General Stats option on “My account” panel
     
     
     
     
  
  


• I have to modify some important information of my account how can I change them?
  
  You can change your details anytime, just follow the steps bellow:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the Update my details option on “My account” panel
  3. Update the necessary details
  4. Click on the button Update


• I’ve forgotten my password – can I get a reminder?
  
  In the Login page, you will be offered a password reminder option. All you need to do is enter your email address and your password will be emailed to you.
  


• Can I change my password?
  
  You can change you password easily, just follow the next steps:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the Modify password option on “My account” panel
  3. Enter your old password, the new password and re-enter the new password.
  4. Click on the button Modify to update your password.

For Users

• How do I do a search on PropertyinBirmingham.org?
  
  You can search properties by using either the Quick search on home page, Advanced Search on the Search Birmingham properties option on the main menu or Advanced Search box on the right hand side of the page. This box will show when you already make a search, at this stage you can add or modify details to your original search, specify type of property, range price, size or specify a zone.
  


• On the website can I look for Birmingham estate agents?
  
  You can browse the directory of Estate agents listed by name and zone on the All Birmingham estate agents menu option.
  To search estate agents select the most appropriate option you can choose from letting agents, commercial agents, sales agents listed by name or area.
  
  
  If you want to know more information about an estate agent, click on the Agent Info button of the agent’s tab.
  
  
  
  You can also contact the estate agent filling a quick form.
  


• How do I register on the site?
  
  The register is only necessary if you want to receive email alerts. In the moment that you are going to register your alert, you must intro your account details.
  


• How can I cancel my alerts?
  
  If you don’t want to receive more alerts, you can delete them. Follow the next steps:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on the List all my alerts option on the “My account” panel
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Click on the button Delete of the alert that you want to erase.
     
     
     
  
  
  4. Click over the Are you sure? option to confirm, or click over the No, go back option.


• I want to change some details of my alert how can I do it?
  
  You can change any detail of your alert following the steps bellow:

  1. Sign into your account.
  2. Click on the List all my alerts option on the “My account” panel.
     
     
     
  
  
  3. Click over the Edit button of the alert that you want to change.
     
     
     
  
  
  4. Make the necessary changes.
  5. Click on the Edit Alert button to update changes.


• I am interested in many properties can I save them to a shortlist?
  
  PropertyinBirmingham.org brings you a tool to add properties into a shortlist which you can print and it is not necessary to log in.
  Just click over the Add to list link that appears on every property’s tab.
  
  
  
  


• How can I review my shortlist?
  
  In order to review your saved properties click on the My shortlist link in the top right hand corner of any page. You can also print your shortlist if you want to.
  
  
  
  This will work when you are using the same computer; otherwise your shortlist will be deleted.


• There are some properties of my shortlist which I want to delete it is possible?
  
  Yes, you can delete any property of your shortlist. Just click on the My shortlist link
  in the top right hand corner of any page. Then select the property and click on the Delete selected option on the “Shortlist option” panel.
